Seal Update
9th April 2008

Seal update April 08 - there are currently no seals in the seal sanctuary

Our last two grey seals from the autum/winter season were released back into the wild on the 2nd of April 08.  We do not expect to rescue any seals now until the common seal pupping season in June/July.

The seal hospital is at its busiest during the tow pupping seasons.  Common seals are born during June and July and grey seals between September and December.  Our rescued seals only stay with us for a few months.  As soon as they are fully rehabilitated and have reached their target release weight they are released back into the wild.

This means that at certain times of the year there are no seals in the hospital
