Strangford Lough & Lecale People & Landscape Roadshow 4th-8th February 2012
An invitation to all to enjoy stunning displays, underwater film and features on local people and places. This is your chance to help shape the future of the areas heritage and your place in it. This event is run by the Strangford Lough & Lecale Partnership as part of the development of a Management Strategy for the Strangford Lough & Lecale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Exploris Aquarium plays host to the first 'People and Landscape' Roadshow this weekend (4th & 5th of February) and, as a way of encouraging people to engage with the environment.
The 'People & Landscape' Roadshow is the first exhibition on the Strangford and Lecale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and includes amazing underwater footage of the lough, a gigantic model basking shark, and stunning photography. Families can build their own heritage pyramid or participate in seaweed art workshops.
This event is run by the Strangford Lough & Lecale Partnership as part of the development of a Management Strategy for the Strangford Lough & Lecale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Part of the roadshow's aim is to give people the opportunity to have their views and ideas heard. Helena Challinor, General Manager at Exploris, revealed “This is the public's chance to help shape the future of the lough, its heritage and our place in it."
